If this is your first visit to the website . .

This website was created using Open Conference Systems (OCS), a free web publishing tool created by the Public Knowledge Project. From this web site, each PROMS 2008 participant can create a user account, submit presentation proposals for peer review, volunteer to be a reviewer, manage the proposal review process online, and pay all registration fees through the PROMS 2008 Tokyo PayPal Account. Please note that creating a user account is not the same as registering for the conference. Creating a user account, submitting a proposal, and registering for the conference are separate processes.

To get started, click "View Conference Details" below and take a look around the site. After you've had a look, set up a user account. We suggest that you:

1. Look through the web site and then create a user account for yourself. When creating an account, be sure to tick "Author" if you plan to submit a proposal, and "Reviewer" if you would like to volunteer to peer review some other proposals.

2. After reading the "Call for Papers" and "Track Policies," submit your proposal.

3. Register for the conference after you have submitted your proposal and are familiar with the web site. Be prepared to pay the conference fees by credit card when you register. It is possible to complete the registration without paying, but you cannot navigate back to the PayPal link later.

Check the site from time to time for more information regarding accommodation, workshops, and social activities. We look forward to seeing you in August.
